Employers can claim funding to support a newly qualified social worker (NQSW) through the Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE) programme and apply for ASYE certification.

At the completion of the programme the employer can request a certificate of completion for each NQSW they have assessed as passing the ASYE programme.

We’re working with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), to offer funding to the employers of adults social workers.

Registration

We’re delighted to announce that we’re working on a new funding platform to improve the overall user experience of the ASYE adults funding application process and to make it easier for you to manage your NQSWs.

In order to make this process as smooth as possible, the current ASYE adults portal will close on Thursday 1 May so that we can migrate all data over to the new funding platform.

The new system will be available to use as soon as the funding window opens for 2025-26, which is likely to be in June.

All employers are expected to upload an action plan for continuous development to the documents section on the portal in order for their application to be accepted.

Additional guidance on how to use the portal is available to download.
